How to get the perfect yoke
If you can afford it, http://www.horizoncomputerservices.com could be a good start. They sell a variaty of yokes, though rather pricy. Also PrecisionFlightControls has good looking yokes, both the jetliner column type and also general aviation -like tabletop/through-the-panel ones (should be easy to adapt to a full cockpit too)
New found is also http://www.routech.ro/
Build your own yoke:
build a raw structure from wood and PVC pipes, put the cables in and then start to use paper marche (mixture of newspaper pieces and wallpaper paste) to model the actual for of the yoke. Use pieces of wood, sheet metal and aluminum to model structures (eg. to put the swtches in), then cover also with paper marche. To get a smooth finish, try wood repair paste or hot glue. (--Manuel)

Duplicate a real one:
Expect this space to be filled as soon as I (P.Vanagt) get a real Fokker70/100 yoke. A friend has 2 of those and he will lend me one. Based on it I will make a silicone mold and make my own 2 yokes.
Just to show that it doesnt need to be pretty to work
This is my yoke prototype I did last year - it connected to the gameport and had just 2 potentiometers - one for aileron axis and another for elevator (slider pot you can just see attached to the "push rod" on the bottom part. It is ugly as heck, but worked great. --Tuomas
I made my yoke from the CH Products Yoke. Used PVC tubing for column. Rotary Potentiometer inside for roll, and slide pot in base for pitch. Yoke is attached to PVC with a circular bearing. Jason
looks great Jason
If you can hide the box underneath the cockpit floor, it'll be perfect --Manuel
