Misc Tips
inspiration
If you need ideas on how to build things you can try others pages. But if you have some sort of idea and you don't know what materials to use .. try walking around in your house and look around .. I did it when I didn't know how to do the Bike lamps and I came across the PMD garbage bag hanging at a wall .. thinking .. a bottle ... hmmmmmmmz. Same thing for my yoke axis. I got as far down as the garage to just notice a bike .. hmmmmmmmz! You see, you never know where your inspiration might come from! Look around how things are built, how things work and what you could use. Go to your local hobby shop or as we call it here "do it yourself store" .. strowl around and look at almost every item they have. Ask yourself .. what could I use THIS for ?
displays
To "hide" seven-segment-displays so they are not seen when the segments are off, try the tinted window foil often used on car windows. This tip is from Tuomas, source: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=142&topic_id=11236&mesg_id=11236&page=
Stephen also put this into practice with his KT76C transponder replica:

overhead
To allow you to still be able to reach the top side of the overhead panel once you got your roof installed is to have hinges which allows your panel to drop down and "hang" in the sim.
