Linked yoke columns

None platform based
If you chose not to build the entire sim on a platform but just lay MDF panels (or other) on the floor, you might concider this approach.
Bank movement (rotate yoke):
One idea is to use a bikes front weel axis for the yokes. At the front you can easely bolt your yoke on the axis. At the back you can bolt a rotary. Then over the rotary comes a piece of bike-chain, to witch you attach metal wire. This wire is pulled downward and gided via pullys in a 90° angle to the other side, then again with pullys 90° upwards to the other yoke.
Pitch movement (push/pull yoke column):
Behind your MIP structure you put a panel horizontally on the floor. You fix it to the ground with hinges. So it looks like a door but then horizontally installed.
Recently I changed the normal hinges to double spring-loaded hinges. You know the type you find on the western-saloon doors.
Next thing to do is to link the back of the yoke columns with this "door". Of cours make sure that the linking bars can pivot.
Because I use the spring-loaded hinges, I do not have to install any other springs and I can make the yoke columns move very loose. This way when I release the yoke, it will go back to its default position. If you don't want that to happen, tighten the bolts which make the pivot axis for the yoke columns a bit. This way the yoke poles will not go back to the center position by themselves though if you tighten it just right you will feel the center position when you push/pull the yoke!
Or you could attach a car/motorbike/washing machine/whatever shock absorber unit to the pivoting back plate (or just behind the yoke if you dont want dual linked yokes)
